The Sierra Linda Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Fairfax, falling 63-24. Sierra Linda has not had much luck with Fairfax recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Sierra Linda still got an impressive performance from Kaelyn German, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four blocks. German also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shania Holmes, who scored four points.
Sierra Linda has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Fairfax, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-8.
Sierra Linda will head out on the road to face off against South Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully South Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Thursday. As for Fairfax, they will be playing at home against North Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. North Canyon is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
