It was a good run, but The Headland Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a tough 35-14 loss at the hands of Charles Henderson. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Headland in their matchups with Charles Henderson: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Headland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaxon Williams. Despite the final result, he rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 120 yards and a touchdown.
Charles Henderson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zach Coleman, who rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 57 receiving yards. Jywon Boyd also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Charles Henderson's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Zamir Caffie and his two sacks.
Headland's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Charles Henderson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Charles Henderson will take on Selma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Selma will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Charles Henderson is ranked 49th).
