After a string of three wins, Coon Rapids's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Rockford Rockets.

While Coon Rapids ultimately came up short, they really made Rockford work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 27-25.

Taryn Koch paced Coon Rapids' offense, picking up six kills. Koch got some help from Lexi Cuevas and her 12 assists. Talitha Kue controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Rockford was led to victory by Anna Feyen and Lauren Egbert. Feyen had 11 digs and four assists, while Egbert had three aces. Taylor Morter also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Coon Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 9-12-2. As for Rockford, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-9.

Coon Rapids didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Andover on the 25th. Rockford has also already played their next contest (against Sibley East), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
