Old Orchard Beach took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Traip with a sharp 14-3 victory. That looming 14-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Seagulls yet this season.

Trot Moody was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Old Orchard Beach is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Moody was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Old Orchard Beach got a big performance out of Colby Salamacha, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Wesley Gallant was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Alexander has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Kenny Mecham and Jacob Gay did most of the damage at the plate: Mecham went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Gay went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits Gay has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cale Harrington, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Richmond's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Old Orchard Beach, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
