Sylvan-Lucas hadn't done well against Ellis recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Railroaders. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Sylvan-Lucas got a big performance out of Hannah Pahls, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Thielen, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Sylvan-Lucas' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Ellis, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sylvan-Lucas beat the Railroaders by a score of 15-9 later that day.
