Volleyball Recap: Galena Starts Season with Victory at Home

Galena took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Greenwood Blue Jays 3-0. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Jays, too.

Galena never let Greenwood on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-5, 28-26.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Galena to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaiona Bailey, who had ten digs. Bailey has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Coming up, Galena will take on Hollister at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenwood, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Seymour at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th.
