The Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes will head out on the road to take on the Fort Dorchester Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ashley Ridge will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
In what's become a running theme this season, Ashley Ridge gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They blew past Stall 60-37. Given Ashley Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Stall is ranked 93rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ashley Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nadia President out in front who scored 13 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylin Brown, who scored 12 points along with three blocks.
Meanwhile, Fort Dorchester had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past West Ashley with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 50-35.
Ashley Ridge's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Fort Dorchester, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Ashley Ridge took their victory against Fort Dorchester when the teams last played on January 10th by a conclusive 53-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ashley Ridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
