Central Connecticut I West recap Nov. 7, 2012
Southington extended the longest winning streak in Central Connecticut I West this week by beating Simsbury, 35-14. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Blue Knights.
Hall made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,335 from 7,925. The improvement came about via a 40-18 victory over Newington last week.
Southington's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Stephen Barmore threw for 326 and four touchdowns and Anthony Bonefant had 125 yards receiving. On the ground Tyler Hyde chipped in 101 yards. Corbin Garry helped Southington's passing attack out by catching six balls for 102 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Barmore of Mike Drury's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1589. He has also thrown 17 touchdowns. On the ground, the Warriors' Jordan Bell has rushed for 708 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is LT Nembard. The Hall star has 45 catches for 579 yards.
Hall led the league in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on the Indians. Zach Dobbins threw for 216 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 85 yards in the win.
