Freeman typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Collegiate proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mavericks, sneaking past 10-8. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on six straight.

Collegiate pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Freeman, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Collegiate will host Woodberry Forest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Freeman, they will head out on the road to face off against Godwin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
