The Hendrickson Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Weiss Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hendrickson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Hendrickson was able to grind out a solid win over Robinson, taking the game 9-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Kara Luongo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
Luongo wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Avalyn Gallardo, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another was Alyssa Howe, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Weiss made easy work of Elgin on Friday and carried off a 12-1 victory. Considering the Wolves have won eight matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Hendrickson, Weiss also got a great game from a two-way player: Jillian Herridge. On the mound, Herridge didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Jordynn Booe tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Herridge went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Booe went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Weiss let Bel Larson and Bella Gomez run wild. Larson went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Gomez went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most runs Larson has posted since back in February. Ashlyn Woydziak was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one triple and one RBI.
Weiss was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elgin only posted a batting average of .190.
Hendrickson's record is now 16-2. As for Weiss, their record now sits at 16-2-2.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hendrickson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Weiss struggles in that department as they've averaged .405. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hendrickson couldn't quite get it done against Weiss when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 9-6. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
