Basketball Recap: Cannon County's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Cannon County won against Summertown last Saturday with 57 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Cannon County Lions walked away with a 57-49 win over the Mt. Pleasant Tigers. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on four straight.

Mt. Pleasant's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jakyri McClure, who went 5-for-10 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Dale, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Cannon County's win bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Mt. Pleasant, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.

As of now, neither Cannon County nor Mt. Pleasant have any future games scheduled.
