The Jackson County Generals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 22 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 52-30 margin over Bluegrass United. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jackson County.
Despite the loss, Bluegrass United still got an impressive performance from Allie McGuire, who scored 11 points along with five steals and four blocks. Those four blocks set a new season-high mark for her. Grace Hanlon was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Jackson County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Bluegrass United, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4.
Jackson County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Floyd Central at 5:15 p.m. on December 29th. Bluegrass United will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against McCreary Central at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
