The Horton Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a tough 44-22 defeat at the hands of Pleasant Ridge. Horton has not had much luck with Pleasant Ridge recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Pleasant Ridge was led to victory by Isabela Major and Mia Ernzen. Major scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and four steals, while Ernzen dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Major also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Kelsi Ko, who scored four points along with five steals.
Horton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Pleasant Ridge, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Horton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on McLouth on January 30th. As for Pleasant Ridge, they will head out on the road to take on Tonganoxie on Tuesday.
