After flying high against St. Mary's last Friday, the Concordia Cardinals came back down to earth. Concordia had to suffer through a rough 85-28 loss at the hands of Holy Cross. Concordia was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-15.
Holy Cross can attribute much of their success to Moises Ledesma, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Carlos Cirlos, who scored 12 points.
Concordia's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Holy Cross, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing The Christian School at Castle Hills the next time they take the court. Concordia will head out to face The Christian School at Castle Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Holy Cross will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
