The Sunnyside Blue Devils pushed their score all the way to 72 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 79-72 to Buena. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (66), Sunnyside still had to take the loss.
Sunnyside lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaac Ramirez, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Ramirez pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was MANUEL MORENO, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, Sunnyside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunnyside will take on Cesar Chavez at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cesar Chavez will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. As for Buena, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ironwood Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ironwood Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Buena is ranked 68th).
