Swansboro is 0-3 against Topsail since March of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. Swansboro will square off against Topsail at 6:30 p.m. Swansboro is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.
Swansboro will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Ashley on Wednesday. Swansboro came out on top against Ashley by a score of 12-8.

Addison McMillan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She also allowed five hits, marking her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Payton Jensen was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Katherine Cahall, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Topsail put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over Ashley.
Addison Ash spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.
At the plate, Topsail got a massive performance out of Brooklyn Beatty, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Easton J'Anthony was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Topsail kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Topsail's record is now 3-0. As for Swansboro, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-3.
Swansboro suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Topsail when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Swansboro avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
