Pineville has gone 9-1 against Ouachita Parish recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rebels are taking a road trip to face off against the Lions at 5:30 p.m. Pineville's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Ouachita Parish's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
While Pineville's win against Neville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rebels skirted past the Tigers 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Addalyn Burch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Pineville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madalyn Halle, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Sydney Alford also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Ouachita Parish fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Ruston on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 8-7. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.
Madisyn Lenard was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Journee Williams, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for Pineville and bumps their season record up to 27-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Ouachita Parish, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-14.
Pineville's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's game. The Rebels have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Ouachita Parish, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Pineville continue to outrun the ball?
Pineville took their victory against Ouachita Parish in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
