Meanwhile, Mount St. Charles Academy faced Smithfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Mount St. Charles Academy walked away with a 56-43 win over Smithfield on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mount St. Charles Academy.
Cranston East bumped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
