Center Grove extended the longest winning streak in Metropolitan this week by beating Lawrence North, 42-10. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Trojans.
North Central lost to Carmel 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Demond Roberson ran for 24 yards and caught 4 passes for 77 yards in the defeat.
JEFF GEORGE threw for 207 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 10-25 with 1 interception.
GEORGE put up the best numbers through the air as Warren Central lost to Pike. GEORGE's favorite target this week was DARIUS LEE, who caught 5 passes for 152 yards.
6-foot-5 quarterback Michael Loggan of North Central is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,028. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is LEE. The Warren Central star has 17 catches for 497 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Center Grove and Ben Davis. Eric Moore's team enters the game ranked first in the state, while the Giants ranks second.
The Wildcats made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,999 from 4,224. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 42-10 victory over Lawrence North last week.
