The Leonardtown Raiders will be playing at home against the Calvert Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Leonardtown has three straight victories, Calvert has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Arundel scored an imposing 60 points on Monday, Leonardtown still came out on top. Leonardtown sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 win over Arundel.
Meanwhile, Calvert had to suffer through a rough 66-33 loss at the hands of Chopticon. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Calvert in their matchups with Chopticon: they've now lost four in a row.
Leonardtown has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Calvert, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-19.
Everything came up roses for Leonardtown against Calvert in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 70-25 win. Will Leonardtown repeat their success, or does Calvert have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
