Notre Dame Prep faced DeWitt in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Fighting Irish blew past the Panthers 10-2. The Fighting Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Notre Dame Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for DeWitt, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Coming up, Notre Dame Prep will take on Farmington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.17 runs per game on average), something the Fighting Irish will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for DeWitt, they will welcome Waverly at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
