Howard put another one in the bag  on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with  a   13-10  victory over the Hammond Golden Bears. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Bears, too.

 In other batting news, Howard let  Gavin Nystrom and  Carter Parise run wild. Nystrom  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances, while  Parise  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-5. Those  four  hits gave  Parise a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Austin Proescher, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with two  RBI and one  double.
 Howard  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .524. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Howard's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Hammond,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
