The Xavier Prep Saints can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They secured a 58-53 W over La Quinta. The win was just what Xavier Prep needed coming off of a 72-30 defeat in their prior contest.
Xavier Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paul Dreisbach, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Ferrel, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Xavier Prep's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-21. As for La Quinta, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 18 of their last 19 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season.
Xavier Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. La Quinta also has no future games currently scheduled.
