Vicksburg had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past the Natchez Bulldogs with a 14-8 victory on Friday. This was payback for the Gators, who suffered a 14-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jadarius Henderson was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 140 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

Vicksburg didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Natchez to a completion percentage of just 43.8%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Landon Prentiss and James Warfield, who each logged one passes deflected. Vicksburg wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 18.2%.

Coming up, Vicksburg will square off against Forest Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Natchez, they will challenge South Pike at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
