Canyon View has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge Westview at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many goals in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Canyon View didn't get the result they wanted in their first contest with Horizon on Thursday. They will be looking for a result a little better than the 2-0 defeat they were dealt on Thursday when they meet later in the season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Westview, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Desert Edge on Thursday.
Canyon View now has a losing record at 5-6-1. As for Westview, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-8.
Everything went Canyon View's way against Westview when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as Canyon View made off with a 5-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Canyon View since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
