The Bullock County Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They were outmatched by Booker T. Washington at home and fell 58-27. Bullock County has not had much luck with Booker T. Washington recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Leading Booker T. Washington to victory were KeAundra Tatum and Tylizea Sanders. Tatum dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Sanders scored 14 points along with six assists and three steals. That's the first time this season that Tatum scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Fitzpatrick, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Bullock County bumped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Booker T. Washington, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Bullock County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Barbour County at 4:30 p.m. on January 6th. Booker T. Washington's road trip will continue as they head out to face Montgomery Catholic at 5:45 p.m. on January 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Montgomery Catholic is ranked 150th, while Booker T. Washington is ranked 138th).
