Julianna Lamon continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8-for-9 to rack up 17 points and eight boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in shooting accuracy (89%). Another player making a difference was Melody Lee, who went 5-for-10 on her way to 10 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Families Instructing Students HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, it's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Excel Christian Academy can now relate to. She dropped a double-double with 23 points and 17 boards. Berbick is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aysia Mertz, who posted 19 points and seven boards.
Excel Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Families Instructing Students HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Families Instructing Students HomeSchool has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.5 rebounds per game.
