Pike County came up short against Highland Home on Monday, falling 24-4. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Flying Squadron recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Ben Patterson and Noah Terry stepped up to the plate in a big way. Patterson went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Terry went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Patterson has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Zaikeilin Adams, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, Elba lost 17-7 to Ashford on Monday.
Powell Bane made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Baker, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Elba's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Pike County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1.
