A Season-Best Effort from Jordan Coleman Leads Swansboro over West Carteret
On Friday, Swansboro had to settle for second even though Jordan Coleman put up the best numbers he has all season. Coleman picked up 261 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 82 yards.
Swansboro is on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8. They and White Oak are set to duel on Friday.

Joshua Smith's Big Game Leads White Oak over Richlands
Joshua Smith was instrumental in extending White Oak's winning streak to seven on Friday. Smith turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 210 yards on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 61 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Smith is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Swansboro on Friday. Back in September (the last time Smith saw the Pirates), he rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 160 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes.

Andrew Boucher Has Career Rushing Day
Andrew Boucher produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Croatan to the win on Friday. Boucher rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
On the year, Boucher has averaged 15.6 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after nine games last season, he was only averaging 23 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 81.78 rushing yards.

Coleman Davis Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Croatan got the W thanks in part to Coleman Davis playing the best football he has all season. Davis threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown.
If history really does repeat itself, Davis might just drop another big game when he faces off against West Carteret on Friday. Davis rushed for 156 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes the last time he and the Patriots duked it out back in October of 2023.

Nick Johnson Delivers Best Effort of Season
White Oak was led to victory by Nick Johnson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Johnson picked up two sacks and made 11 total tackles.
On the season, Johnson has averaged 7.2 total tackles per game and for the season has 11 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he had six sacks.
