There's no place like home for Forest Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Richland Rams on Thursday as Forest Hills made off with an 11-1 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Jake Yatsky made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bryce Roberts, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chase Williamson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Forest Hills now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Richland, their record is now 2-2.
