Isaac Alvarez was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Beal, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Baker County beat ED White 8-4 on Friday. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.
The team relied heavily on Nicholas Chowaniec, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Burnsed, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Baker County's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Ridgeview, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ridgeview has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Baker County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.4 strikeouts.
