The Bethel Jaguars can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 73-20 win over Richmond. Given Bethel's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while Richmond is ranked 1299th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bethel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but C. Vaughn led the charge by scoring nine points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was D. Scott, who scored nine points along with six assists and two steals.
Bethel pushed their record up to 14-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Richmond, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethel will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Swett at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Richmond, they will face off against Hercules at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hercules is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
