When it comes to explaining why Rise University Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is Marcus Cage. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. The match was Cage's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Prince Dean was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Rise University Prep's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Pinewood, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rise University Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Drew at 5:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for Pinewood, they will be playing at home against Harker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harker has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5.
