Carver is 1-6 against Middleborough since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Carver Crusaders will play host again and welcome the Middleborough Sachems, where kickoff is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Carver has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 501 points over their last 11 matches.
Carver had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Hoosac Valley 44-0 at home. Considering Carver has won nine games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Carver can attribute much of their success to Jameson Helms, who rushed for 91 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Lennox, who threw for 180 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Meanwhile, Middleborough had just enough and edged Norwood out 29-27 two weeks ago.
Carver pushed their record up to 11-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.7 points per game. As for Middleborough, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Things could have been worse for Carver, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 35-21 loss to Middleborough in their previous meeting back in November of 2022.
