Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Riverton). They came out on top against the Herriman Mustangs by a score of 66-54 on Thursday. This was payback for the Silverwolves, who suffered a 61-46 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Riverton was led to victory by Faythe Stauffer and Maggie Hamblin. Stauffer went 5 for 11 en route to 18 points and three steals, while Hamblin went 6 of 10 on her way to 14 points and eight boards. Stauffer is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Talbot, who posted 11 points.
Riverton was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tylee Sundquist, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 16 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards Sundquist has posted since back in November of 2024.
