The Scammon Bay Eagles just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Akiachak Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Scammon Bay's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.
Scammon Bay is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Kalskag 92-36 on Thursday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Scammon Bay found their leader in sophomore Christian Chandler, who posted 26 points. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for Chandler. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Aguchak, who had 14 points.
Meanwhile, Akiachak unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Aniak.
Scammon Bay will have to contain Charlie Chingliak as he made an impact in Akiachak's last game. He put up 21 points. That was a full 48.8% of Akiachak's points, marking the third time in a row Chingliak has scored more than a third of the team's points. Micah George was another key player, putting up ten points.
Scammon Bay is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Akiachak, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-2.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Scammon Bay and Akiachak are some of the highest-scoring teams around. The Eagles haven't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 59.6 points per game. However, it's not like Akiachak struggles in that department as they've been averaging 65.7 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Scammon Bay didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Akiachak in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, but they still walked away with a 65-59 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
