Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Wednesday (62), Monrovia still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Monrovia lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jayden Jones. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with seven assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Rahn, who scored 12 points.
Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter was led to victory by Marshawnn Henderson and Devin Bolden. Henderson scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Bolden scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bolden has scored all season. Cheick Wade was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Monrovia has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.
Monrovia won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Beech Grove at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, they will head out on the road to take on Evansville Harrison at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Evansville Harrison will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
