Baseball Recap: Overton Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Overton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Ore City Rebels 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Rylan Holleman was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Holleman was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Overton's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Ore City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6.

Overton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rebels: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
