The Powhatan Indians will challenge the Hanover Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Powhatan comes in on four and Hanover on five.
Powhatan's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Monacan by a score of 3-0.

The result came thanks to Brooklyn Narbut's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Powhatan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Harper, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Powhatan hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monacan struck out 11 times.
Meanwhile, Hanover's hitters rose to the challenge against a Titans pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.27 runs allowed on Friday. The Hawks walked away with an 11-6 victory over Cosby.
The team relied heavily on Kaileigh Byars, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Brie Wheeler, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Powhatan's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Hanover, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Powhatan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. However, it's not like Hanover struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
