3A Region II District 16 recap December 3, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 3A Region II District 16 this week, Kilgore beat Lone Star 56-21. The victory was the 12th in a row for the Bulldogs.
Gladewater scaled the state rankings by moving to 166 from 256 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bears climbed the ranks as a result of beating Gainesville 24-17.
The leading receiver in the league this season is GABRIEL ROBINSON. The Chapel Hill star has 53 catches for 993 yards.
WESLEY THOMPSON of the Chapel Hill is just 21 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 127 carries THOMPSON has put up 979 yards this year.
The Bulldogs' ROBINSON needs only 7 receiving yards against Mike Wood's team to crack 1,000 for the season. So far this year, he has garnered 53 catches for 993 yards.
The Bulldogs are currently in first, while Chapel Hill is in third.
Kilgore took down the Rangers 56-21 last week, the largest margin of any game.
