The Altamont Longhorns will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wendover Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Altamont has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
Last Tuesday, Altamont came up short against the Miners and fell 56-49.
Meanwhile, even though Tintic scored an imposing 59 points on Saturday, Wendover still came out on top. Wendover took down the Miners 76-59. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wendover.
Wendover's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Efren Delmuro, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn Duboise, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Altamont dropped their record down to 3-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wendover, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
