Even though the Durango Demons scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, the Glenwood Springs Demons still came out on top. Glenwood Springs blew past the Demons 79-58. The win made it back-to-back wins for Glenwood Springs.
Sim Wenger was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Argeny Renteria was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Glenwood Springs has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Durango, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.
Glenwood Springs will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Palisade focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. As for Durango, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grand Junction Central is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
