The Parkside Rams will challenge the Kent Island Buccaneers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Parkside has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Parkside and Bennett had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Rams fell just short of the Clippers by a score of 13-12 on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (11), the Rams still had to take the loss.

Brecklyn Bounds put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Julia Bright made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Cheyenne Cantwell, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Kent Island was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They lost 12-2 to North Dorchester. The Buccaneers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Siena Koch and Abigail Mahaffey stepped up to the plate in a big way. Koch went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI, while Mahaffey went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one run.
Parkside's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for Kent Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Parkside hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. However, it's not like Kent Island struggles in that department as they've averaged .423. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Parkside came out on top in a nail-biter against Kent Island when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 7-5. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
