Colonie Central came out on top against Averill Park on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Wolfpack were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Warriors. Considering the Wolfpack have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Carter Epting was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Kai Baskerville also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Colonie Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .574. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Colonie Central, bringing their record up to 12-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Averill Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colonie Central will welcome South Glens Falls at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Wolfpack's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Averill Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Saugerties at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
