Edgemont suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Friday. They suffered a rough 42-22 defeat at the hands of Sioux County. Edgemont has struggled against Sioux County recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Edgemont's defeat came about despite a quality game from Keaton Darrow, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hay Springs' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They lost to Morrill on the road by a decisive 57-41 margin. The match was a 23-23 toss-up at halftime, but Hay Springs was outscored by Morrill in the second.
Edgemont dropped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hay Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Edgemont was taken down by Hay Springs 71-35 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Edgemont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
