Langham Creek has been on the road for five straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Washington Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Langham Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Washington is ranked 26th).
Last Saturday, Langham Creek came up short against Fort Bend Clements and fell 49-39.
Meanwhile, Washington had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Forest 96-59 on the road. Washington might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three games by 37 points or more this season.
Abraham Kirksey and Odis Carter were among the main playmakers for Washington as the former dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds and the latter scored 23 points along with 4 steals. The matchup was Carter's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Jalen Webb was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 7 steals.
Their wins bumped Langham Creek to 6-3 and Fort Bend Clements to 9-0.
Langham Creek beat Washington 77-68 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Does Langham Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will Washington turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
