The Archbishop Hoban Knights will look to defend their home court on Friday against the East Dragons at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Archbishop Hoban has five straight victories, East has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Green typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Archbishop Hoban proved too difficult a challenge. They took down the Bulldogs 64-45.
Archbishop Hoban's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from James Mccarthy, who scored 15 points along with three blocks and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mccarthy has scored all season. Jonas Nichols was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, East was the victim of a tough 64-41 loss at the hands of Marlington on Tuesday. East was down 52-32 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Archbishop Hoban is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for East, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Archbishop Hoban didn't have too much breathing room in their match against East in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 64-59 win. Does Archbishop Hoban have another victory up their sleeve, or will East turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
