Softball Recap: Kingston Has No Trouble Against Cornwall Central

Kingston won against Monroe-Woodbury on Wednesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Everything went the Tigers' way against the Cornwall Central Dragons as they made off with a 9-1 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.

Kingston has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Cornwall Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coming up, Kingston will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine Bush at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Bushmen will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cornwall Central, they will square off against Middletown at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Middie Bears have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
