 Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Acadiana proved: they limited Sulphur to a paltry 0.4 yards per carry. While one picked up at least seven  total tackles,  Dante Chavis stood above the rest. He picked up  two  sacks and made seven total tackles. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in October of 2024.
 Acadiana's defense didn't let  the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Chavis was especially locked on to Sulphur's QB and sacked him twice. Acadiana's record is now 2-3. As for Sulphur, their defeat was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-4.
 Acadiana has already played their next contest,  a  49-42  victory against Barbe on the 10th. As for Sulphur, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  44-41  win against New Iberia on the 10th.
