Basketball Recap: Porter's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Porter proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 40) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the MacArthur Generals out 39-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since February 9th.

Porter's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-8. As for MacArthur, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Porter will face off against Lumberton at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for MacArthur, they will square off against Channelview at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. MacArthur is facing Channelview at the right time seeing as Channelview is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
